Katie Lou is a sharpshooter who is consistently dangerous behind the arc. And it's legally required to yell "Louuuuuuuuu" every time she hits a three. The Seattle Storm is her third team in the league, but her fans—the #LouHive—will follow her anywhere.
Because she has so many young fans, it is especially cool that she has been open with her struggles with mental health. In this article, she talks about her own mental health journey, and reminds other young athletes that they are not alone, and that seeking help is nothing to be ashamed. She's also worked with and promoted the Trevor Project, which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth.
Less important, but I should also mention that Lou is consistently fashionable. I particularly enjoy this photo with buddy and former teammate Gabby Williams lurking in the background.
