The Down Low

I apologize to the Vanderquigs that I have made them a joint profile like some boomer parents on facebook, but they are the only active WNBA players married to each other!! And they are on the same team!!! I spent more time than I'd like to admit on instagram trying to figure out if they were dating before they announced their marriage!!!! We stan!!!!

They are the definition of a power couple. Sloot and Allie make up the starting backcourt for the Chicago Sky and are both the best at what they do.

  • Quig3y is the queen of the three point shot. She is a three time-winner of the three point contest, holding the best score of any player in the contest ever, WNBA or NBA. The video is below - she makes the ball look like it weighs nothing and her shot is effortless. Allie went on a journey to get to where she is. She was drafted late in the second round and bounced around between a number of teams before she landed in Chicago. She was considering retiring instead, but decided to take a final chance in her hometown. Luckily she did, because she immediately began making an impact. She was back-to-back Sixth Woman of the Year before making her way into the starting line up. And of course, she met her wife
  • Sloot is the undisputed assist queen and holds almost every single assist record possible. Previously, she didn't hold the single-game assist record (then 16), but told me she would get it "one day" while in a signature line. And she did. With two assist in a row to you guessed it, Allie, from 3 (video below). In the 2020 season, she averaged 10.0 assists per game, shattering all previous records, which she mostly held herself.
Off the court, these two hang with their dogs, stay exceptionally buff, and are mostly game for the antics of their teammates, including this absolutely perfect video of Allie, taken by Gabby Williams:
