The Down Low
With her 7'4 wingspan and consistent defensive honors, other teams have to plan their whole strategy around getting past BG. Which is not to say she slacks off offense. She was the top scorer of any player in the WNBA in two different seasons. Because of this dominance on both ends of the court, she's also frequently in the MVP conversation, although she has yet to win.
BG's had a huge impact off the court as well. Since being drafted to the league, she has been open about her sexuality. Other players have credited her living loud and proud with her gender expression and sexuality as helping to change the culture of the league, and inspiring other players to come out publicly too.
Coming out after the WNBA draft:
Don't worry about what other people are going to say, because they're always going to say something, but, if you're just true to yourself, let that shine through. Don't hide who you really are.
Lower which rim?
